Bad Marketing Stress

Why Is Marketing Without a Website a Bad Idea?

Today, many business owners assume that they can advertise their products or services without a website. This assumption could be because they feel their business is too small or too new to have a website. Or perhaps they think a website could be replaced with social media. However, this is a bad idea that could hamper every action they are taking to improve their businesses.

So, if you are thinking you don’t need a website for marketing your business, here are some reasons that will let you know that it is a bad idea:

  • Inability to reach wider audiences

Without mincing words, your website provides you with the biggest and best opportunity to reach wider audiences. It allows you to educate the visitors about the services or products you are capable of offering. So, when you don’t have a website, you are already missing out on the opportunity to reach a good portion of your audience.

  • Social media platforms are not your friends

Although every business must take advantage of the power of social media marketing, social media platforms are not particularly your friends. These platforms are only concerned about how they can draw more audiences and get more money. Hence, they can change their rules anytime to favor them, even if such rules disrupt your business. In the past, we have witnessed how Facebook, Instagram, etc. altered their rules without considering their effects on businesses. Sometimes, they may even ban certain business profiles temporarily or permanently.

So, if you are only relying on social media without having a website, you are doing yourself lots of disservices.

  • Social media platforms can have issues

This is another important point for those depending on social media platforms to market their businesses. Some years ago, if people were told that Vine or MySpace would disappear, they would probably disagree. But these social media channels disappeared some years ago. So, businesses that relied on Vine or MySpace for their marketing would probably need to lose some audiences after the unfortunate event happened.

Even Instagram, Facebook, and other topmost social media platforms have experienced glitches in the past. Unluckily, no one could do anything throughout the blackouts of these social media channels. But if you own a website, you can continue promoting your business regardless of what happens to any social media platform.

  • Poor customer relationships

With the aid of your website, you can create a solid and reliable relationship with your customers. Whether you want to get their email addresses for more communications or just give them updates about your company, your website enables you to relate with your customers effectively.

However, if you don’t have a website, you will have to rely on third parties for communicating with your audience. This can lead to poor customer relationships as the communication is not fully under your control.

  • Your data is in the hand of another party

When you are using social media platforms and other channels for interacting with your audiences, you don’t own the data of your consumers. Due to security and privacy settings, you may not have access to the locations, email addresses, and other data of your audiences. Nonetheless, if you own a website, Google Analytics and other related tools can be utilized to get important information about the audience.

Considering the issues associated with not owning a website, you will agree that every business needs to get a website for promoting its services and products.

How to Market Cannabis Where Your Audiences Socialize 1

How to Market Cannabis Where Your Audiences Socialize

When it comes to marketing your product effectively and boosting your brand equity, you must have a good knowledge of your target audience. Of course, having this knowledge is a journey. As noted by Nic Shafer of Precision Extraction Solutions, this journey should start with ensuring that you meet your audiences where they normally socialize.

Get started with extensive research

Don’t rush into implement any type of marketing technique. You should first take the time to learn about your audience so that you can have a good understanding of what they need. Unfortunately, marketing budgets usually restrict businesses. Resultantly, they will not be able to use every possible marketing platform at once.

To deal with this challenge, it is paramount to understand the particular channel where your would-be customers socialize. Also, you must understand the things that are important to them when buying a product or service. A good understanding of your target audiences will go a long way in helping you to know the best marketing platform you have to use.

A two-pronged approach is required to know where your customers spend most of their time. This approach needs quantitative research that evaluates the existing data. Afterward, you will use qualitative research through a direct conversation with your existing customers. For qualitative research, surveys, focus group discussions, and questionnaires have been recommended by the U.S. Small Business Administration.

Identify sub-channels

Through the research, you will be able to identify sub-channels. This ensures that you don’t have to deal with the marketing noise and, thus, focus on what you need. These sub-channels can be YouTube Channels, niche social media groups, and so on.

Don’t use all platforms for your marketing strategy. Just focus on the particular ones that your audiences often use.

After establishing a relationship with your customers, it is possible to diversify your marketing strategy confidently. In the long run, this will be beneficial to your business. In fact, it can be the single most important factor that will take your cannabis business to the next level.

In addition, you should take advantage of consumer demographics and psychographics to find the best social platforms and marketing techniques for your business. Also, you need to get more information from your existing clients. The information can be extrapolated to cater to the needs of your prospective clients.

Change is imminent

Marketing channels and tactics change from time to time. Therefore, don’t be rigid in your marketing approach. The strategies and platforms that worked some months or years ago may no longer be effective today.

Be always ready to change your cannabis marketing strategies. However, before making any change, learn about your customers and readjust your marketing strategies to suit their needs and preferences.

In conclusion, cannabis marketing is as dynamic as the marketing of most other businesses. You must meet your customers where they usually socialize. So, you must continue to update your knowledge, learn more about your target audiences, and tweak your marketing channels and tactics as the market demands.

Obstacles Advertising Cannabis 2

Obstacles Advertising Cannabis

All industries have their lists of challenges and they can come in various ways. However, as far as the cannabis industry is concerned, its challenges can sometimes be a little too much. These challenges tend to come in areas related to advertising, especially raising awareness and we will be considering them in detail under this post. The discussion will try to cover all the manners that these advertising challenges tend to appear.

A highly regulated industry

To start with, the cannabis industry is a highly regulated one. That means to successfully establish a brand under the industry, a proper understanding of local and state laws is needed to stay out of trouble. The problem here is not these many local and state laws but something disadvantages that happens as a consequence of it. After all, the marijuana industry is not the only highly regulated industry around. The pharmaceutical, finance, insurance, gambling, and many more industries suffer the same fate.

The only major issue here is that the cannabis industry is still different from the ones above as it’s still illegal at the federal level. As such, the industry has to constantly battle marketing problems from the black market.

Advertising platforms have a culture of rejecting cannabis ads

For those actively immersed in the industry, this probably wouldn’t come as a shock. For those who are not aware, then note now that most of the big advertising platforms hardly accept marijuana ads. As much as counterintuitive this might be to the usual multi-channel approach of marketing it’s just the bitter reality.

While in the United States, some states such as California, Arizona, Washington among more have legalized marijuana in some form, this unfriendly attitude by the big advertising platforms is a huge challenge to the proper marketing of cannabis. As a matter of fact, with the changing political realities, Google, Facebook, Instagram and others have all resolved not to let cannabis brands run paid ads on their respective platforms for the time being.

Instagram and Facebook are shutting down cannabis accounts

The difficulty would have even a lot more bearable if it was just limited to banning paid ads. Sadly, it gets even uglier with Facebook and Instagram. These big tech giants of our time have a bad reputation of taking down accounts related to cannabis. This inability for cannabis brands to have an unchallenged presence in the platforms of these big tech giants is a big marketing challenge for the marijuana industry.

Black market peculiarities

As we have stated earlier, legit cannabis brands are forced to compete against black-market sellers. While the law-abiding brands tend to follow the rules related to marketing that seriously hinder their ability to promote their products and services the way they want, black-market competitors don’t follow these rules, putting the legit brands at a disadvantage.

In conclusion, these challenges are not insurmountable as there are strategies around to overcome them. Here at 420 Web Pros we are particularly dedicated towards this mission and are dedicated to being reliable and efficient when it comes to working around the various challenges that plague the marketing of cannabis.

LGBTQ+ History with Cannabis 3

LGBTQ+ History with Cannabis

Cannabis is something that is now taken by everyone, irrespective of gender, race, sexuality among many other things. However, it is usually surprising that many people are not aware of the fact that cannabis had a very strong connection, particularly to the LGBTQ community. If not because of certain LGBTQ personalities, the legalization of marijuana might have been a lot harder and longer to achieve.

What is the relationship between LGBTQ and cannabis?

Of course, this brings us to the very popular Dennis Peron who played a pivotal role in the movement towards the legalization of cannabis. Dennis Peron, an openly gay man, was at the forefront of these movements. It is safe to say we are where we are today as regards marijuana because if him. He’s a Vietnam war veteran who came back to the United States with two pounds of marijuana. After his arrival, he started selling the two pounds of marijuana in San Francisco but this wasn’t without frequent friction with the police. Despite the challenges he faced especially from the police, Peron never gave up but he kept going. Shortly after, his activism started to center around his fellow sexual minorities when the AIDS crisis shook the US during the 90s.

It was during this crisis that Peron discovered the benefits that marijuana could offer in relieving the treatment symptoms of the very serious diseases that a lot of his peers kept dying from. This was what eventually led him into co-writing both Proposition P and Proposition 215 that legalized medical cannabis for the first time in California. Another important figure that contributed to the movement towards the legalization of marijuana was Brownie Mary. Just like Peron, she’s also a member of the LGBTQ community.

The continued relationship between cannabis and the LGBTQ community

The connection between cannabis and the LGBTQ community is one that has lasted until this very moment and will probably continue to be so. The two have a lot in common as can be seen in the fact that more than 30% of LGBTQ adults reported taking cannabis in 2015. This is in huge contrast with that of heterosexual adults in the same year which was just 12%. Indeed, since mental health issues like PSTD as well as depression are more prevalent among LGBTQ people, cannabis has been a source of help to them as a form of medication.

Some notable contributions to LGBTQ’s relationship with cannabis

Certain major cannabis brands today have taken cognizance of the many issues the community is facing today and have taken a positive stand. For instance, PAX labs donated the sum of $50,000 to the History Society of LGBTQ in 2019. The money would help to build the first LGBTQ museum in the US which will feature Dennis Peron.

Besides, FRUIT SLAB also has a pride flavor that celebrates the LGBTQ society throughout the year which means is a collaboration with Laganja Estranja, a popular cannabis drag queen. These and many are some of the commendable efforts by various players in the cannabis industry further solidifying the connection between cannabis and the queer community.

Cannabis Delivery has Spiked Since COVID19 4

Cannabis Delivery has Spiked Since COVID19

The outbreak of COVID19 has a great impact on the world at large. Although it has negative impacts on most industries, it can be said that only a few industries have financially benefited from the outbreak.

The majority of the industries that are benefiting from the outbreak are industries that offer home deliveries for their customers. It is no surprise that cannabis delivery has peaked since the outbreak of COVID19. A lot of people are order their marijuana from the comfort of their own home.

How did it spike?

Series of findings have proved that there is always an increase in sales for vice industries such as tobacco and alcohol during an economic downturn. For instance, in 2008, there was an increase in the demand for marijuana during the European economic recession.

Since the beginning of the outbreak of coronavirus, cannabis companies across the United States, Canada, and other areas have been recording a rise in the sales of cannabis. From the beginning of the COVID19, there has been a very few increases in sales in various other industries.

Due to the increase in the numbers of COVID19 victims, there was a probability that there might be an extension in lockdown everywhere. So to avoid scarcity of needed products such as cannabis, people began to make an order for cannabis to stock it at home.

At the end of March when people began to restock, there was an increase in the demand for cannabis. Over time, the demand keeps increasing for it compared to other products.

During the period, many delivery companies made a higher delivery for cannabis than they did for other items.

Why did it spike?

There are several reasons why the demand for cannabis spiked during the COVID19. A few of the reasons are:

  • Stockpiling

One of the reasons why it spiked was because people were stockpiling during the outbreak of the pandemic. People were trying to stockpile most things that they would need at home to avoid contracting the disease. So, many consumers of cannabis added cannabis to the products they stockpiled.

  • Fear of the Pandemic

The outbreak of COVID19 created fear into the hearts of a lot of people. This fear led to anxiety and traumatic feelings. As a way of dealing with the trauma created by the pandemic, people began to use cannabis for its therapeutic properties.

  • Support for the Immune System

Another reason why the delivery of cannabis peaked during the pandemic was that people demand products that can promote wellness and sleep. The reason is that sleep and wellness support our immune system. Products that boost the immune system recorded a rise in sales during COVID19.

Since cannabis can ease the mind and promote mental wellness, people began to order for cannabis.

  • Social distancing

COVID19 introduced a new world order. As a measure to avoid contracting the disease, social distancing was introduced into the world order. As a result of this, people began to order for home delivery of cannabis to adhere to the new social norm. People were trying to avoid physical contact with others at the retail stores.

Now, you know the reasons for the unprecedented spike in cannabis delivery since the beginning of covid19.

Some conferences will provide you with the appropriate planning and resources to ensure a worthwhile event while others lack the proper plans and resources. Ensure that you are investing your time, money, and resources on a trade show that aligns with your company’s mission, vision, and goals perfectly.

Beyond the full range of audiences, you should seek to attend trade shows that specifically address your area of interest in the industry. If you run an edible-based company, you should attend trade shows that speak values to your segment, etc.

Be a Thought Leader

Once you have successfully concluded on the specific trade show you’ll like to invest your money, time, and resources into, the next step is to put adequate measures in place to ensure that you’re getting the most bang for your buck. Most of the big conferences do not only have an expo floor, but they also feature educational tracks. If you are an expert in your field, you should be a thought leader in speaking sessions. Speaking sessions are great opportunities to shine and share your knowledge with other professionals in the industry.

Speaking at conferences doesn’t come easy. You’ll have to plan ahead as most of the conferences open request for abstracts from interested speakers at least six months before the event. Once you have been selected as one of the speakers, you shouldn’t forget that your primary purpose is to dish out knowledge-not to sell. Do not be extremely promotional or commercial in your presentation. Provide real value. This will make people want to seek you and learn more from you. Get a good night’s sleep, and do not party excessively a night before the scheduled event.

There you have it! We know that’s only two tips, but perhaps the two most important tips to prepare for your first marijuana trade show. Other exciting tips include creating branded marketing collateral, share your business cards with website, staple received business cards to a notebook page and make a note about the interaction, and many more. With the right strategy, you’ll never be anxious about trade shows anymore. You’ll easily justify your ROI whenever you attend.

Cannabis & Video Games: Is CBD the new gamer’s companion?

The existing connection between cannabis and its influence on your video gaming experience dates back to several decades as many video gamers have subscribed to the fact that marijuana has the potential effect to accentuate their entire gaming experience. Imagine a scenario where you are “high” as a result of marijuana intake, where you gravitate through the enormous Breath of the Wild world. In this case, it seems as if you are the real one launching attacks against the evil enemies in the Hyrule Land, sounds great?

Realistically, there is a minute supporting evidence from the science behind the notion that cannabis has the potentials to enhance the video gaming experience of cannabis users. Truly, video games help to enhance hand-eye coordination. And weed seems to provide antioxidants as well as anti-inflammatory benefits.

From the research studies conducted by the Groningen Mental Enhancement Department of the Netherlands on the effect or impact of weed and video games in the brains of patients suffering from Alzheimer’s disease, it was discovered there was a 43% increase in memory retention specifically in patients who consumed weed.

Could cannabis influence a better gaming experience? Can video gamers who consumes cannabis record a significant increase in their memory retention? Ride on

Could CBD Take the Place of THC as the Best Friend of Video Gamers?

When it comes to the best of video games, it comes down to the ones that drive your emotions into the world of fantasy. And of course, you won’t realize that you spend a considerable number of hours battling and fighting with computer programmed enemies. In order to succeed in this scenario, you need untapped concentration, rapid reflexes, and excellent situational awareness. Of course, your primary goal is to conquer these computer-generated enemies. However, after spending a significant number of hours battling with these games, some of these traits tend to dissipate and poses negative impacts on your overall performances.

Unlike THC, CBD is the most abundant non-intoxicating compound present in the cannabis sativa plant. Once CBD is consumed, it establishes a connection or linkage with the endocannabinoid system. Thus, stimulating the brain receptors.

How Does CBD Influence Your Gaming Experience?

Having the best of hand-eye coordination in the world alongside rapid reflexes is commendable, but if you cannot remain calm during the game, then all these do not count. Anyone that has played video games has run into a series of battles with computer-generated enemies at one point or another. In some scenarios, you’ll nurture the feelings to fling your controller over the screen.

CBD, as a mood regulator, helps you keep calm and prevent your emotions from outsmarting your gaming performance. In cases where your brain becomes overstimulated, CBD is alerted to the situation and sends signals to the endocannabinoid system to relax and calm down your cells.

CBD is a mood regulator that keeps your nerves calm. It is believed that once your body is relaxed, you’ll be more prepared to take the right steps that will favor you and your team.

There you have it! Perhaps the potential influence of CBD on the video gaming experience. With the few illustrations we’ve made, we believe gamers can now turn to CBD to improve their cognitive responses. This will help them win, win, and win their contenders as a gamer, thus making their gaming experience more pleasurable.

What is the Meaning of 4:20? 7

What is the Meaning of 4:20?

If you are a cannabis smoker or familiar with the cannabis industry, you must have heard of 4:20. Well, whether you have heard about it before or not, this article will give you details of what is means, its history and some other vital things that are related to it.

Generally, 4:20 refers to a holiday that is meant for celebrating cannabis. As you could have thought, this holiday comes up on April 20th and is often known as the period for smoking pot. Over the years, 4:20 has become an iconic celebration for the majority of pot smokers that want to have and appreciate the culture of cannabis smoking in the country. It is also usually celebrated at 4:20 every day. This year, 4/20 is celebrated the entire month of April since the year is 2020. If 10 years ago we had been told for the entire month of 4/20 we could only leave our house for food and weed, we would have never believed them. But here we are.

How did 4:20 start?

There are various stories about the way 4:20 began. However, the story about how the holiday was started by high school kids seems to be the most generally acceptable and popular.

According to the story, in1971, a few high school students were all staying in San Rafael, California. The group of these students, also called Waldos, would come together at 4:20 pm at the Louis Pasteur statue to smoke and get high. However, it was only around 1990 that the story became known to many individuals when Steve Bloom, a senior editor at High Times magazine, wrote something about it.

Another story about the start of 4:20 is related to the cannabis plant. It is believed that over 400 chemical compounds can be found in the cannabis plant. Nonetheless, it is sometimes assumed that the number 420 represents the number of chemical compounds in the plant; hence, it is the time for celebrating smoking pot.

Of course, one other story says that the 4:20 holiday is concerning the Congress. The California Senate has a bill that is numbered 420 and this bill is sometimes said to be the reason for the exact date of the holiday. However, the bill is not directly promoting pot smoking.

Other stories related to the beginning of the 4:20 holiday include the death of Bob Marley, the birth of Adolf Hitler as well as even the police. Nevertheless, the stories are untrue and also too ridiculous. So, the story about the high school kids is still the most reasonable and acceptable.

Why 4/20 is special in 2020

In the previous years, 4:20 was always celebrated extensively on a single day. However, 2020 is going to be a lot different as the celebration will hold throughout the whole month of April. This is mainly because this is the first year that will be ending in “20” since the celebration began.

It is worthwhile to note that the 4:20 celebration gets different approaches from various individuals. While a few individuals just want to have fun and smoke, others want to come together and discuss the different strains of the plant. Irrespective of the approach to celebrating it, 4:20 is a time for cannabis consumers to appreciate this natural plant.

How Cannabis is Proving to be Recession-Proof 9

How Cannabis is Proving to be Recession-Proof

With over 1 million confirmed cases in over 200 countries around the world, corona virus is a full-blown global pandemic that has brought a lot of things to their knees. Although no one knows when the pandemic will end, we will likely witness a recession for months after this COVID-19 crisis. While lots of industries will definitely be affected, cannabis is proving to be recession-proof.

Cannabis industry during the crisis

A lot of countries around the world are currently observing a sit-at-home order. As a result of this, the majority of stores and companies have been forced to close down. Only essential businesses are still allowed to open and operate. Hence, the customers of non-essential businesses can no longer use their services and products as the COVID-19 pandemic continues. As it stands today, marijuana stores are still open and, as such, consumers may be able to get their daily supplies of cannabis even during this crisis. Also, the demand for cannabis can be compared to what is usually experienced with alcohol.

Generally, a lot of marijuana consumers use it during celebrations. Similarly, in bad times like the coronavirus pandemic, they often use cannabis to get high and forget their challenges for some periods. Therefore, it is safe to assume that cannabis is a recession-proof as the demand for it will not be affected by the economic meltdown that is currently going on as well as the economic downtown that is bound to happen after the pandemic.

What are the states doing about cannabis dispensaries during coronavirus pandemic?

While the world is still dealing with the coronavirus pandemic, there have been lots of changes in various policies globally. Given this, many states in the US are taking actions to address the issues related to the sales of marijuana. In March 2020, the Department of Public Health in California issued an order as it deemed that cannabis dispensaries are essential critical infrastructure workers.

Therefore, cannabis dispensaries are exempted from observing the stay-at-home order so that they can sell cannabis to their customers. In California, people can still get cannabis for medical and recreational purposes during this ongoing coronavirus issue. However, to prevent the spread of COVID-19, it is paramount for them to avoid congregating their consumers as well as adopt social distancing and other important measures.

Apart from California, other states in the country are also adopting different strategies to ensure that people can get cannabis without exposing themselves to the disease. These states have ruled that the compulsory state-at-home order should not force the cannabis dispensaries to shut down; hence, they should still offer marijuana to customers, especially those using it for medical purposes. In other words, most recreational consumers may not be able to get marijuana in some states. A few states enable doctors to recommend medical cannabis for their patients through telemedicine. Some of these states include Colorado, Illinois, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Maryland, Oregon, Maryland, New York, Connecticut, and Ohio.

Based on what is being experienced during this pandemic, cannabis is showing the potential to be recession-proof. However, we still have to keep an eye on the things that will happen over the next few months.
